Gluing glass to glass may seem a little tricky. But if you follow these easy-to-follow steps, you’ll see how simple it can be. You’ll find the perfect glue for your project at Michaels.
(0:10) Step 1 – Choose the glue that’s right for you. Both E-6000 and Aleene’s Bead and Glass glue work perfectly.
(0:19) Step 2 – Rough the surface area to be bonded with ultra fine sandpaper.
(0:26) Step 3 – Wash and dry the area with soap and water.
(0:38) Step 4 – Wipe down with alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
(0:49) Step 5 – Apply an even coat of glue to each surface that is to be bonded. Let the glue set for a few minutes.
(1:03) Step 6 – Gently press the two surfaces together. You can use tape, rubberband, or even clay for smaller objects to keep them in place while the glue dries. Let them set for 48 hours. Pay attention to the individual instructions on the back of the bottle as they vary per brand.
(1:23) Step 7 – Clean up any excess glue with a cotton swab and nail polish remover.
